Drying Herbs

April 18, 2015 by Hoppi Wimbush

Drying Herbs…

I love this season... gathering herbs and flowers begins with Calendula Officinalis which flowers prolifically from early spring in the polytunnel. I gather the sunshine flowers and lay them out on dehydrator trays and then store the dried flowers until I feel the urge to infuse them into oils ready for making various herbal and floral skin care...

Delivering to Cowbridge…

February 24, 2015 by Hoppi Wimbush

Today I delivered my very first shop delivery... to "Health Conscious" in Llantwit Major... They took a large range of my wares to create a featured christmas table so people get to select their own gift combinations...
I feel swollen with pride and delight... the shop is so clean and shiny, clearly dearly loved and cherished... I am chuffed to bits they chose Flower Power Organics to grace their space 🙂

Divine Smells fill the air…

November 7, 2014 by Hoppi Wimbush

A volunteer came over today to watch Tao (my husband) milk the cow. He was mesmorised with the process of hand milking and couldn’t take enough photos… photos of Sophie (our cow), of Neffa (her daughter), of the milking stool, of Tao bent into Sophie… I reckon if he could have, he would have photographed the pulsing sound of the milk squirting into the pail… He took pictures of the moon, of the clouds… I admit it was a stunning moon…. of the gate, of the barn, of the doves and the mountains of hay in the loft… He then asked if he could come and take photos of me making salves and creams… He mentioned that I smelled of flowers and herbs and aromatics… with that kind of sweet talk.. what could I say??!!

The Making Season 2014

November 7, 2014 by Hoppi Wimbush

Autumn is always a very busy time for me… making products ready for the christmas markets… dreaming up colour combinations for wrapping my gift sets and pulling together other friends who make beautiful products to feature alongside my products. This year I’ve invited Shelly Underhill to blend gorgeous natural incense using herbs, flowers, bark and berries… and Salena Walker to create sumptuously deep and dark raw chocolates. Both of these products will feature in this years gift sets… A Gentle Jasmine set, a Restful Rose set, a Simply Lavender set and a Calming Calendula set.. Every completely natural gift set will include an all natural face or hand cream, a divine body oil, a smoothing lip balm, a real clay mask, a box of delicious raw chocs and a packet of completely natural incense…
What a gift!
